How much could you be entitled to after suffering a brain injury at work?

Like other injury at work claims, the amount of compensation you receive following a brain injury at work fully depends on the severity of your condition and a medical report prepared by a specialist. The figures quoted below are for the injuries suffered. In addition a claim for consequential loss (lost income, care, expenses) would also be included.

If you have suffered a minor head injury where if any signs of brain damage have occurred they are minimal and non-permanent, the value for pain suffering and loss of amenity ranges from £1,940 to £11,200.

If your accident at work has resulted in less severe brain damage, with a complete recovery and minor issues such as lack of concentration persisting, the value ranges from £13,430 to £37,760.

If you’ve suffered moderate brain damage, depending on the seriousness of your condition your claim subject to liability could be valued from £37,760 to £192,090.

If the accident at work has resulted in the injured person suffering from moderately severe brain damage, meaning that they will be seriously disabled, the value increase to £192,090 to £247,280.

Finally, if the injured party has suffered from very severe brain damage, depending on how critical the likely value could be from £247,280 to £354,260.
